A Pond at Home

There is beauty all around with a pond at home,
There is joy in every sound with a pond at home!

Ryan has been working his tail off on the landscape and our "curb appeal"! For Father's Day all he wanted was to get his pond finished and we did it! Its amazing and beautiful and the sound is oh so perfect.
The Pearson's in our ward also have a pond and they had extra fish. They allowed us to go over and catch a few and bring them to our pond. We were only able to catch 9 that first night but plan to go back soon to get a few more. Then we went to Walmart and and had the kids each pick a few out of the baby goldfish tank that we could put in the pond too (The walmart employee was not too happy about that. He came right up and took the net out of one of the boys hands! And put it all away. Then reluctantly agreed to catch the rest of the fish for us.) So we left there with 10 baby fish. But because we didnt use our smarts, the tiny guys were either sucked into the pump or eaten by the other fish. Next time the small fish will go into the top pond. Anyway, Ryan got what he wanted for Father's Day (which I am grateful for cuz I never know what to buy for him and he usually ends up with something really lame) and we have a beautiful front landscape. Now we need to order some pond plants online and plant some bushes around the front bark beds..........and then onto the next project.
