Laundry Soap, $10 a year

I love to watch The Duggar Family on TLC's 18 kids and counting. They are really wise with their money and making their dollar stretch. They have spoken on the show that they make their own laundry detergent and how it costs only a few dollars every couple of months to wash all of their clothes. Well I got the recipe, and a girlfriend of mine tried it and put it on her blog. She loves it. So I now will be doing it also, as soon as I am up and around, or if Ryan finds the time. Anyway its totally simple to make and looking at what it yields I am guessing for under $10 it will do all of our laundry for a year!!!! To start you need a box of borax, a box of washing soda and a fels naptha bar. This will make enough to wash 160 loads!! Because you only use a little bit of the first two ingredients and the entire Fels Naptha Bar, I will be buying lots of Fels Naptha Bars. Then I will make 1 recipe and put the rest of the ingredients into my Storage so that I am PREPARED to make more, all I will need is the water.
