we gotta go.
Early this morning , about 1:30 I was too worried to wait around so we headed to the hospital. My contractions weren't extremely painful but very consistent beginning around 9:30p.m. I called my mom and said "come over, we're going just to be safe". We got checked in to the hospital. They began monitoring the contractions and baby. Contractions continues, his heart sounded great, couldn't find it at first, scared us to death. He was just playing hide and seek. Checked for leaking water, nada. Then checked for dialation, no progression, HOORAH! WE were really relieved. Trying to diagnose why I was contracting so much they did a test for Bladder Infection, gratefully that was negative, who knows why I am so messed up in this whole pregnancy thing. They also did the GBS (Group B Strep) test. I have never had that done before (never made it that far into pregnancy) but they thought we should get it done now just in case. They sent me home with strict orders to stay in bed, flat(sides preferrably), and only get up every 2 hours for potty. Drink plenty of fluids! The doctor opted to not stop the contractions, hoping they will subside on their own with lots of rest. We arrived back home around 4:30. Here it is 10:15 am and the contractions continue, not bad, every 10-15 minutes and uncomfortable. They are further apart than before so I am hoping soon for that "subsiding". To be completely honest with you, I want to be done. I am frustrated and depressed lying here all the time, but I am so glad that I didn't have a baby this morning!!!! I am 30 weeks, we hope to hold on AT LEAST 4 more. I would love your prayers-- Dakota
Side note, Canoe was born 4 years ago today. Its not his birthday, he was born on Memorial Day!
